Perform coding duties within a specified timeframe
Maintain proper coding practices and documentation
Perform software quality assurance
Collaborate with business developersĀ 
Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes
Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning codeĀ 
Integrate individual software solutions to higher level systems
Use web-based tools
Perform system testing, implementation and modification
Perform upgrades
Collaborate with technical writers

Entry requirements
Minimum of 4 X GCSEs grades 9-4 (A-C) including English and Mathematics

Relevant experience / appropriate Level 3 Apprenticeship

Training to be Provided
Software Developer Level 4 Apprenticeship Standard:

The successful candidate will undertake a twenty-four month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions.

You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. These block weeks will take place at either of our training centres, in Birmingham or Worcester, whichever is more suitable for your location.

You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.

This is a Level 4 qualification.

A manufacturing business based in Barnards Green developing Electric Actuators and Electric Motors. We have an innovation department that works full time on R&D and new projects. We do all our software development in house. We currently have our own app for our customers and currently working on new app development.
